Stockport County "Design A Meal" Competition

Stockport County FC - Community Foundation team, in partnership with Solutions SK, who provide the school meals for schools in Stockport, have just completed their 'Design a Meal' competition for Key Stage 1 & 2 children, who currently attend Schools across Stockport.

We had a great response, with over 50 Stockport Schools, participating. Each school was set the task of finding a winning entry to represent their school in the final.

All winning entries at this stage were presented with a signed Stockport County FC Certificate and two tickets to see Stockport County FC in action at Edgeley Park.

The 'Judging Day', was held at Solutions SK in Cheadle Heath, with the judges being made up of representatives from Solutions SK, our Manager - Jim Gannon, Assistant Manager - Peter Ward, and Community Officer - Mike Smith.

The winning entry: Miles Vare, Gatley

The winners were (KS1) Miles Vare from Gatley Primary and (KS2) Katie Robinson from St. Winifred's Primary in Heaton Mersey, who both won a visit to their school from the County players to eat their designed meal, along with the rest of the school.

Well done to both Miles and Katie, for two excellent, healthy and enjoyable meals, which I'm sure are on the menu at our Training Ground in Timperley!
