Policies
Children registering to the Community Foundation activity should be
able to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from
abuse.
- The Community Foundation recognises its responsibility to safeguard all
children by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm from neglect
or bullying.
- All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and
responded to swiftly and appropriately.
- All cases will be kept confidential, but reported to those organisations who
have a right to know.
- Staff members will not be left alone for long periods with individual
children. An adult who needs to take a child aside for example, will be done in
view of other members of staff.
- Staff members should avoid direct contact with children at all times.
- Staff members will adhere to all the rules and regulations put forth by The
Football Association in relation to Child Protection issues.
- All Staff employed by the Community Foundation will attend the FA Child
Protection workshop every 2-3 years

should be open to all children and families, and to all staff committed to their
development and care. We aim to ensure that all who wish to work in, or

- All members of staff, including volunteers are expected to carry out this
policy throughout their duties.
- Any member of staff or child found guilty of discrimination will be asked to
leave forthwith.
