PRINCE'S TRUST - WYTHENSHAWE TEAM 4
The Princes Trust Programme is a 12-week personal development course aimed at
people in our local area aged between 16 and 25 years old, irrespective of
background or ability, delivered by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

During the 12 weeks they are involved in various team building activities and
community work, as well as continually working towards various nationally
recognised qualifications.

Princes Trust Wythenshawe Team 4, independently selected New Dawn Community
Centre, Button Lane, Northern Moor as their project for renovation. The team of
ten, who raised money through a three day car wash, spent 14 days reviving both
the inside and outside of the building. As part of the community challenge the
Team were required to coordinate a final hand over presentation. By arrangement
of the young people, Stockport County players Michael Raynes and Tommy Rowe
reopened the refurbished community centre to the public.
The Team, in association with Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service and
Stockport County Community Foundation, are undertaking a bucket collection at
Edgeley Park, on Monday 13th April, versus Walsall FC, in order to raise money
for a worthwhile cause.
The Team hope to raise enough money to take a group of children with learning
difficulties to Challenge for Change, a team building activity centre in
Manchester.
The Team members are - Tom Bell, Mathew Webb, John Hodge, Michael Sharp, Lee
Royal, Darren Irving, Carl Harrison, Andrew McIlwrick, David Taylor and Eric
Kenyon.
Any help that you can provide them with will be greatly appreciated. If you or
anyone you know would be interested in joining the programme please contact Dave
or Jasmin (Team leaders) on 07807076308.
