AND DEVELOPMENT CLUB AWARD
The Cheshire County FA has awarded Stockport based club Queensgate FC the FA
Charter Standard Development Club Award and club secretary Mandy Anderson
achieved the prestigious Football Development Charter Standard Club
Administration County Award 2008.

Club Chairman Colin Boyd stated that it is a great honour for the club to have
achieved Development Club status and to receive the award on behalf of everyone.
The club's committee and coaches have worked extremely hard to develop
Queensgate FC to this level and look forward to delivering and achieving the
targets set out within the development plan to benefit the club and the
surrounding community.
Club Secretary Mandy Anderson said 'I am very proud to receive the County
Administration Award for 2008 and would like to thank the committee, coaches,
players and parents of Queensgate FC for their continued support and enthusiasm
and also the Cheshire County FA for their recognition in what is very much a
team effort'.
Queensgate FC achieved FA Charter Standard Club award in 2005 and through the
clubs growth in the local community it has meant they have been able to progress
to achieving Development Club award in November 2008. The award acknowledges the
hard work of the club committee members and volunteers and demonstrates the
clubs continued commitment to developing football, raising standards in
coaching, administration, player development and safeguarding children, and the
promotion of best football practice, both on and off the pitch in grassroots
football.
In addition Mandy Anderson has been individually honoured with the Charter
Standard County Administration award 2008 for her continued commitment to
developing the club in her role as Club Secretary.
The club and Mrs Mandy Anderson were presented with their awards at Stockport
County's home game against Leyton Orient at Edgeley Park , where they were
honoured at half time by Eddie Crabtree (CCFA President), John Smith (CCFA
Football Development Committee Member) and Stuart Holt (CCFA Council Member).
