Schools
In order to promote our activities and Stockport County FC, the Community
Foundation staff attend school assemblies on a regular basis, spreading the word
amongst the children of what the Football Club and the Foundation has to offer.

Community staff undertake a 10-12 minute talk all about Stockport County and how
to join our activities taking place at that particular school, we even have our
Manager, Jim Gannon and some players popping in from time to time.
Our mascots, along with the 'League Two Play-Off Final' trophy are also in
attendance at assemblies.
We also attend assemblies along with players as part of our 'Kick Racism out of
Football' project and our 'Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Choices' programme.

In Set/Teacher Training Days
During these days, held a each and every school, normally at the end or the
beginning of a school term, the Foundation will hold a one day 'Soccer
Extravaganza' at the school, enabling parents to drop and pick their children up
at school at normal school hours. Each child will spend the day playing football
with Stockport County, learning and improving their football skills at the same
time having lots of fun and enjoyment.
Again this activity is offered to schools all year round.

Ticket Initiatives
Throughout the season we aim to offer as many schools as possible the
opportunity for their pupils to attend a first team fixture at Edgeley Park, via
our 'Family Ticket Initiative' at one of our Community Days.
Our last Community Day versus Darlington FC (Season 2007/08) attracted well over
1,000 extra fans via the ticket initiative, giving Stockport County one of their
highest attendances of the season.
